A FORM....FOR THE CONVERGENCE 

It is now a long time that the convergence is usually quoted if someone discuss or explain what is happening
in the mobile phone and pda/phone market.

This trip to a common target is due to wish of the pda producer to introduce themselves in the mobile market
more than to the user's need to get a single device to have voice and digital service available.
The wish of the producers has been efficiently supported by Microsoft that from many years is working to 
create an O.S. that could be used in the same way on mobile voice devices (smarthphone as example) and
on the usual pdas.

We do not wish to speak about the above here and now. This page was born only to follow and to analyze 
the forms factor changes that helped to reach the actual convergence status.
This will create a different units' list that will contain some device that represent one step to convergence.

If we look at the devices' form we can find two different ways to approach to pda/mobile phone convergence
applied to enable user to buy  an unit with similar service whatever may be its producer.(Manufacturers of
mobile phone or pda producer).

The first that has been modified to approach the cellular phone model has been really the model of the HTC,
the Magician, whose form has been replicated several times by others and by HTC also.



The second type on convergent form was launched by Palm, when the convergence problem was not
a current argument. The Treo has been, and still is, one of the best smartphone (don forget that i refer
to its form) and it inspired many other producers that adopted (or copied ?) its basic form.
Treo was the first example of convergence but it has been also the first form of device to host also the
services' convergence (i mean  gps, media, voice etc into a single unit as happened with HP hw6515)

What you are reading above is, anyway already history. 
In this page will be instead registered the existing or coming models that will realize better the convergence
in question.
In few words you will find here devices coming from cellular or pda world that could be bought by an user  
as the final object (smartphone, communicator, messenger or what you prefer).
Obviously, relating to this page's theme, the units here quoted may be available worldwide and not only in
Usa or Europe..
